Beer is one of humanity's oldest beverages and perhaps much more important than we think today. There is a historical theory that beer appeared long before wine, and it could be said that it played a role in the birth of civilization itself.

Back in the Neolithic period, when agriculture was just beginning, humans noticed something strange: moistened grain that stayed in water for a long time began to ferment. The resulting liquid was different—more aromatic, more nutritious, and surprisingly energizing.

At that time, no one thought of "beer," but in fact, the first fermented beverage was born right then.

Some historians believe that humans transitioned to agriculture not for bread, but for beer. The beverage resulting from fermented grain provided people with stable calories, a relatively safe liquid, and most importantly—a reason for social gathering. Beer wasn't just a drink; it was the foundation of meetings, rituals, and unity.

In order to have beer constantly, people began to intentionally cultivate grain. This process gave rise to the first settlements, order, division of labor, and ultimately, organized society.

Thus, a fermented beverage turned into culture, and culture into civilization. It can be said that beer was not just a part of history, but one of the sparks that moved humans from a nomadic lifestyle to a permanently settled one.
